Iced branches against a Cirrus sky. Cirrus clouds are formed entirely of ice crystals. Another breathtaking example of how earth and sky combine so beautifully!
This Cumulus Congestus dwarfs the apartment building next to mine. It was amazing to watch it roll in and it reminded me of the scene in Ghostbusters where the giant Stay Puft marshmallow man comes lumbering down the street.
The sun lit up this tree just as I was passing by. A gorgeous coppery moment!
No matter the shade or season, clouds take my breath away. Yesterday provided an exceptionally diverse show from my balcony. Shown here, powerful Cumulonimbus before the afternoon rain. SW Portland.
One hour later, a shape shifting blended wonder. Same balcony. Same awe. I especially enjoyed this combo of clouds. Altocumulus, Cumulonimbus – puffs and waves, ripples and wisps.
This gorgeous vista greeted me in a Portland parking lot! A most appreciated gift. Crepuscular rays against Altocumulus … a divine quality that truly lifts the spirits.
The Willamette River winds through Portland offering a welcomed water element to the city vibe.
A light mist in the air following heavy rain creates a watercolor look to the fall trees. A city street becomes a Monet!
This hilltop cemetery in NW PDX seemed especially eerie after a blizzard. But what a photo op! Love the iced trees against the silver-grey sky.
