Fleeting Pileus

All clouds by nature are fleeting and the Pileus most of all. Spotting this smooth puff was a rare, wondrous moment. Similar in shape to Lenticularis and cap clouds, Pileus briefly appear atop billowy Cumulus. Another cloud captured in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Sky Show

A shape shifting blended wonder. I especially enjoyed this combo of clouds. Altocumulus, Cumulonimbus – puffs and waves, ripples and wisps.

Up Close and Personal

I never met a cloud I didn’t want to spend more time with. Fascinating creatures. Window seat FL to OR.

In Plane View

A six hour flight of non-stop sky delight! Alaska airlines Orlando to PDX.

Tropical Beauty

Palm trees and billowing cumulus create a stunning scene. An oil painting that won’t melt even in the 95Β° heat. Winter Springs FL.

From the Beginning

It’s easy to see why the immenseness of the sky has been an inspiration for artists and poets, inventors and explorers since the first human looked up. (Evening sky in Seattle.)

Good Morning, Seattle!

Ahhh … the day begins with beauty. View from deck looking out over Lake Washington.

Puget Sounds of Silence

There’s something about watching the sun break through the clouds that restores peace. Like being in a chapel.

Oil Painting

The color and feel of this photo reminds me of the French landscapes by Corot.
